I chose to showcase The Isolation Museum as a whole. This virtual museum took what was the most difficult time for a lot of people and decided to use it to bring people together. This page shows all that happens when we're in isolation, from the things we learn or teach each other to the things we create. This is a great example that art thrives, and people thrive regardless of the situations they were in.
There isn’t a specific piece that represents isolation, so much as the museum as a whole. If you browse through the collections, we can see people upon people who share what they created through their own time alone. In other sections, you may find photos of people that had to experience self-isolation, or what they did during their time in quarantine, like playing video games or home school.
This page shows that even though we were all alone individually, collectively we were together. It was people alone in their homes, in their rooms that created this gallery. That made this gallery possible. We talk about and know what isolation is. We have become close acquaintances with the term but what comes after, what comes with the combination of those isolated and time is resiliency.
