A Fighting Escape By Javier Gallegos
They see me. They see me. I’ve run from the light And followed my shadow, Evading the eyes Behind the black cowl.
It's beating. It’s beating. My heart is crying In battle for peace, But the drums, still marching, Sensing defeat.
I’m feasting! I’m feasting! The rabbit did say, “A plate you will find.” Made no mention of knife. The throne will be mine.
